Tim wächst ohne einen Vater auf. Als Kind hat ihn das nie gestört – immerhin haben auch Superhelden abwesende Väter, oder nicht? Jedoch wird er zunehmend von der Tatsache irritiert, dass seine Mutter Jüdin und sein Vater Araber ist. Die Leerstelle einer einheitlichen Identität nagt an ihn. Überwiegend animiert wird hier die klassische Geschichte der Suche nach der eigenen Vergangenheit durch Stil und Humor in etwas Außergewöhnliches transformiert.

 

Tim grew up in Paris without a father. As a child this didn’t bother him—after all, superheroes have absent fathers, don’t they? But the fact that his mother is Jewish and his father is Arab sometimes causes confusion. This lack of a clear identity has begun to gnaw at him. This mostly animated short film transforms the classical story of someone looking for his past into something extraordinary through style, humor and empathy.
